Health Guarantee

Sandy's East Coast Boxers has made every effort to provide you with a healthy puppy. This puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of delivery. We guarantee this puppy is purebred and registerable with the AKC. We guarantee that all vaccinations and wormings have been given as stated on the vaccination schedule.

For the protection of the purchaser and the seller, the puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of taking possession of this puppy. If the sales transaction takes place on Friday and Monday is a holiday, the buyer will be given an extra 24 hours to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian. If this puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary congenital defect or any major health problem at this exam, a replacement puppy of equal value will be given, provided that the seller is notified within 24 hours after the exam. If the Buyer does not take the puppy/dog to a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours from the date of purchase, this warranty becomes null and void. This puppy must be returned to the Breeder along with the AKC registration papers within 24 hours, at no expense to the breeder, with a signed document from two non associated licensed Veterinarians stating the defect or problem. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer.

Some disorders may be caused by environmental factors, for example: cocidia, giardia, kennel cough, cancer, demodectic mange, scabies, allergies and other autoimmune system disorders and these are not covered in this guarantee. We, the Breeder will not be responsible for Parvo, Distemper or Cornona Virus after 48 hours of the sale, as these are highly contagious diseases and they can be contacted immediately after leaving the Breeder.  We will not be responsible for illness or health problems, which are diagnoses after this time period, except where stated in this contract.

Your puppy is guaranteed for 1 year from the date of birth against life threatening congenital defects. If within that time a life threatening congenital defect (not to include parvo virus, distemper virus, heartworms or any nutrition related disease) is attested to by two non-associated veterinarians and the reason is congenital, the Breeder will replace the puppy with another puppy of same breed, quality and price, if our veterinarian aggress with the required written reports, from the two non associated licensed veterinarians. The breeder must be notified at the onset of the problem, in writing, with a report from the veterinarians. The replacement will be subject to availability (within 12 months). We do not refund money. We, the breeder, are not responsible for any veterinarian bills acquired by you, the buyer.   We will not be responsible for illness or any health problems, which are diagnosed after these time periods.

In the unlikely event of this puppy’s death in the first 1-year, due to congenital defect, a statement from a Veterinarian confirming such an event and cause is required before any action will be taken by the Breeder. If cause is unknown, an autopsy is required. The Breeder will not be responsibly for Veterinary or Medical bills incurred.

Your puppy has been on a vaccination and de-worming schedule here and is up to date and these records will be provided to you.  Please take these records to your veterinarian, as it is very important to continue with these vaccinations and wormings after you get your puppy home.

You, the buyer, agree to insure your puppy’s good health and to keep our guarantee in effect by taking good care of the puppy and providing good food, housing and good medical care. As a responsible puppy owner/buyer you must provide your puppy with routine preventive care and all immunizations, administer monthly heart worm preventatives and annual physical examinations by a licensed veterinarian. Please remember that puppies are babies and they need lots of tender loving care!
